Is there a better beach town? Arguably not. In fact, one national magazine recently rated San Clemente "the best beach town in America."

San Clemente was founded in 1925 by Ole Hanson, who called it the "Spanish village by the sea." Amazingly, the whole feel and pace of the place hasn't changed much since then. The sun still shines about 342 days a year, and the people are still some of the friendliest around.
